What’s TENS?
Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) is an effective method for the treatment of pain. It is used by physiotherapists and specialised experts, as well as by top-level athletes.
The electric impulses produced by the electrodes placed on the skin on the pain area stimulate the nerves so that they contribute to prevent the pain signs from reaching the brain. This favours the endorphins emission, which are the natural analgesics of the body.
