TENS and EMS:
What is TENS?
Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) is an effective method for the treatment of pain widely used by both specialized people and high-level athletes.
Electrodes placed in the pain area produce electrical impulses that stimulate the nerves, helping to block pain signals to the brain and promoting the release of endorphins (the body's natural painkillers).
What is EMS?
Electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) is a procedure that uses the delivery of electrical pulses through the electrodes to the affected muscle area that needs to be treated in order to increase muscle strength and athletic performance.
