Ultrasound:
Ultrasound is a deep heating modality that is most effective in heating tissues of deep joints. The main effect of ultrasound are the following:
Highly speed vibration (mechanical effect):
- Ultrasound waves, at tremendous speeds, have an effect on tissue just like that of massage. We usually call this mechanical effect micro-massage.
- lt can be applied equally to surface tissues (like skin) or deeper tissue such as muscle and fat deposits, which reduces tension in the muscles and tissue, regenerates acidotic muscle, releases tension and alleviates pain. This ultrasound massage is known for being an effective pain relief and creates weel-being.
Heat efficiency:
