APTIMAX instrument trays designed to hold surgical instruments during pre-vacuum steam sterilisation, ethylene oxide sterilisation and STERRAD sterilisers.
It is recommended to clean the trays after each use in the sterilisation process. We recommend using a mild detergent or neutral pH.
Caution
To enable maximum penetration / diffusion, do not stack the APTIMAX trays in any steriliser. Nor should you overload the trays or exceed a maximum total weight of 4.4 kg per tray.
Discard APTIMAX trays that are cracked or damaged.
With APTIMAX trays in the STERRAD, please use only polypropylene sterilisation wraps and legally marketed Tyvek pouches.
Recommended parameters for the sterilisation cycle
* Pre-vacuum (wrapped) and flash (unwrapped)
- Temp: 132 - 135 º C
- Time 3-4 minutes
* Ethylene oxide
- Temp: 54.4 º C
- Concentration of OE: approximately 600 mg / l
- Time: 105-120 minutes
- Relative humidity: 30-80%
- Ventilation: 12 hours
