| What is it? |

Cryolipolysis is a new treatment that dissolves body fat through the controlled application of cold temperatures on the area to be treated, without damaging the surrounding tissue.
The procedure takes about an hour. During this time, cold temperature below freezing is applied on the skin, which dissolves the adipocytes.
When fat cells are exposed to cold, it begins a process of natural cell death. Fat cells in the treated area are gradually eliminated through the patient’s urine, which is the normal metabolic process of the body. The result is a remarkable and natural reduction of adiposity (up to 26% fat reduction.). |

Treatment process
|
- Mark the area to be treated.
- Measure the area with a skin-fold caliper.
- Apply a membrane on the whole area to protect the skin.
- Place the non-invasive hand-piece that will suction up the skin with underlying fat, and will emit cold (up to -5C°).
-The procedure time is a maximum of 45 minutes, depending on the area's size.
This equipment includes a heart rate counter for greater safety. During treatment, the client can listen to music, work with a laptop or just relax. Once the time is over, remove the hand-piece (it is not painful). The treated tissue can be rigid, red and/or numbed because of the cooling. It may also appear some localized hematoma, which disappears within a few weeks. After treatment, the client may go back immediately to his/her normal activity, even work or exercise.

It is possible an immediate following session on a different area because there is no risk of affecting cholesterol. But you must wait 1 or 2 months for a second session on the same area.
One of the main advantages of this treatment is that the operator must not be all the time next to the client, as opposed to the traditional cavitation treatment, since the hand-piece must stay still on the area until the session finishes.

| When can we see result? |
Fat reduction can be noticed within 15 days, and the maximum loss of fat layer thickness is achieved between 2 and 3 months after treatment.

Controlled cooling affects and removes only fat cells. Other treatments, such as laser, radiofrequency and focused ultrasounds, can also affect the adjacent tissue.

The ideal candidate is someone with modest-size fat deposits that are difficult to remove with diet or exercise. It is not a treatment for weight loss or obesity.
